True Price · the number
The desk, not the shop.
Sports Authority sells a way of seeing. The product is the fair price of an event. We do not sell locks. We do not run a bet slip. We do not take payment for picks. If a sentence needs a carnival to survive, it does not have a reason-to-exist on this page.
Figures below are invented for typesetting. They are not current markets, not closing lines, and not a recommendation to wager. Legal information only. Know your jurisdiction.
| Event (wordmarks) | Fair | Market | Edge | Conf. | Units | Reason-to-exist |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kansas City at Buffalo · NFL | −2.5 | −3.5 | −1.0 | Med | 0.0 | Market already paid the brand. No ticket without edge. |
| Las Vegas at New York · WNBA | −6.0 | −4.5 | +1.5 | Med | 0.5 | Public still taxes the women’s game. Fair disagrees. |
| Georgia vs Alabama · CFB | −6.5 | −7.0 | −0.5 | Low | 0.0 | Inside the hold. Existence fails. Pass. |
| LAFC vs Seattle · MLS | +145 | +130 | +15¢ | Low | 0.25 | Small number, clean reason, tiny unit. Edge before volume. |
| Rangers vs Boston · NHL | −125 | −140 | −15¢ | Med | 0.0 | Juice is the story. We do not buy stories. |
Edge in this table is fair minus market, expressed in the unit of the line. Positive does not mean “bet this.” It means the demonstration sheet has a gap. Confidence is a house adjective, not a promise. Units are a sizing language, not a solicitation.
Ten laws of the house
Process is the culture. Record is the person.
- Price is the only godFeelings do not clear. Narratives do not clear. The number clears, or it does not.
- The record is the personBiography is décor. The sheet over a season is the biography that matters.
- Fandom is a firing offense on the deskYou may love a club on Sunday morning. You may not price it that way on Sunday night.
- Edge before volumeA quiet card is a professional card. Filling a card is amateur hour.
- Legal information onlyWe write in the open. We do not traffic in what the law does not allow. Know your state.
- The closing line is the judgeBeating the open and losing to the close is a hobby. We keep the other kind of record.
- One languageFair. Market. Edge. Confidence. Units. Reason-to-exist. If you need a seventh word, you probably need a better first six.
- Women’s leagues are leaguesThey get a fair, a market, and a close. They do not get a charity voice.
- High school and college are American sportA USA desk that starts at the professional gate has already missed the country.
- No tout vocabularyWe do not say lock, smash, or easy. Those words are how a shop talks when it has no price.
The language
Six words, then stop.
- Fair
- The house number — what the event is worth given the information we will defend.
- Market
- The number the world is hanging. We did not invent it. We read it.
- Edge
- The gap, if any. No gap, no ticket. A gap is not a command.
- Confidence
- How stable the fair is under ordinary news. Not a volume knob.
- Units
- Sizing relative to a bank the reader already has. Not a stake we collect.
- Reason-to-exist
- The one sentence that would still be true if the logo were swapped. If you cannot write it, pass.
Chief Odds Officer in the dream roster: Soren Elling. Quality: Dr. Nia Okonkwo. Trading stack: Hex Radek. Risk: Evander Shaw. These are editorial seats for atmosphere — fictional house characters, not advertised handicappers with verified ledgers. See The House.
We will hang a number. We will not hang a personality. If you need a hero, the record will have to do.
Sports Authority is not a sportsbook, not a tout service, and not a gambling application. Nothing on this page is an offer to take or place a wager. Sample data only.
